Obituary: DAVID MOORE, in the death of "Uncle David" Moor as he was familiarly known, Ellsworth loses one of its oldest citizens. He has been feeble for several years owing to his age but, aside from this, has enjoyed good health until a few weeks ago when he took cold which resulted in his death. He was born in 1799; in 1823 he married Miss Rebecca Bickford and about that time moved to North Ellsworth (then a wilderness) and took up a farm where he has lived for more than half a century and brought up a large family. 10 children were born to them and they also adopted a daughter; 5 of these survive their father: Mr. James Moor of Ellsworth; Mr. Parnel Moor of Ellsworth; Mrs. Addie Stilphen of Ellsworth; Mrs. James Bonzey of Ellsworth; and Miss Fannie Moor of Boston. Besides a large number of grandchildren, he had at the time of his death 10 great-grandchildren. At the close of the War of the Rebellion, Mrs. Addie Stilphen, a widowed daughter, went back to the homestead to care for the old people.

Obituary: Mr. PERLEY HAYNES, whose death was recorded last week, was born in Trenton in 1801. He was one of 13 children, all of whom reached maturity. In his young manhood, in consequence of a disaster to a vessel at sea of which he was one of the principal owners, all the acquisitions of his previous life were swept away, leaving him penniless; undiscouraged, he took his way to the borders of the wilderness now known as Dedham where, for more than 52 years, he has resided. 56 years ago he was married to Miss Margaret Thomas of Eden; she is now left to finish what remains of her journey alone, aided by the sympathy and care of loving children.

Obituary: Mr. GEORGE HAMILTON of Ellsworth Falls died on Wednesday last week, after a lingering illness of several months. He was an earnest Christian, a kind husband and father, and a good neighbor.
