The Back Porch Rockers is an oldtime string band, consisting of
Fiddle, Hammered Dulcimer, Guitar, and Bass Box. We play
traditional American and Irish dance music, Jigs, Reels, and
Waltzes.
If you want a band loud enough to pound your guests into their salads, then we are not for you. If you would like to be able to converse with your guests and enjoy some relaxing but lively music, then give us a listen here.
For background music at receptions, we play romantic Irish and American waltzes and reels. If the bride and groom are rough on their waltz skills, we can provide a crash course. We can intermix these with lively Southern fiddle tunes. If desired, we can teach and lead a traditional Ball, with a simple Grand March, and other enjoyable but timeless dances.
